As the sober-curious movement has gained traction, so has the need for offering nonalcoholic options at events. And no, we’re not talking about bottled water and canned soda. We’re talking about highly-curated, specialty-crafted drinks that take your guests on a flavorful journey much like a full-bodied Cabernet or spicy margarita… just without the spirits.
We put the mocktail bar to the test for a large corporate holiday party. Guests were offered three mocktail options at specialty bars. We added bold signage and specialty decor to the bars, making them a destination experience at the event. Each craft mocktail was carefully curated to fit the holiday theme with clever names and delicious recipes. In fact, guests were so impressed that we served just as many mocktails as cocktails at the event. Talk about a success!
Espresso Marshmallow-Tini
Espresso, simple syrup, vanilla, marshmallow fluff and topped with toasted marshmallow.
Cranberry Mistletoe
Cranberry juice, apple juice, seltzer water and garnished with fresh cranberries.
Cranberry Cosmo
Cranberry juice, orange juice, splash of lime juice, topped with sparkling water.
When it comes to planning your next bar menu, we suggest selecting two to three drinks without alcohol that ensure all of your guests feel important and involved in your celebration. If you don’t have the bar staff or budget to create customized mocktails, there are plenty of delicious canned and bottled options available that are easy to pour. Plus, a nice sparkling water and fruit garnish can go a long way too.
It’s important to remember that there are many different reasons (or simply no reason at all) that someone chooses not to drink and no one is obligated to provide an explanation. So, remember to respect your guests by not asking them why they are not drinking alcohol.
